Andhracafe.com- HYDERABAD : The Central Bureau of Investigation has announced a cash reward for information on Chintapalli Ravindranath, husband of former AP Women’s Commission chairperson Mary Ravindranath, who has been charge-sheeted in an insurance fraud case.
Ravindranath, a former branch manager of the National Insurance Company, had allegedly cheated the firm by passing a fake mediclaim bill of Rs 5 lakhs. A case was booked against him in 2003 and charge-sheet was filed after three years. He has been absconding after the trial began.
CBI officials said that Ravindranath was booked under section 120 B (Criminal Conspiracy), 420 IPC (cheating), 471 IPC (forgery) and the Prevention of Corruption Act. “We will give cash reward of Rs 25,000 for any information on him,” said CBI Superintendent of Police A.Y.V. Krishna.
“Information can be passed on to the SP CBI at Kendriya Sadan in Sultanbazar. Those who have information can also call 24732768.” When this correspondent attempted to contact Mary Ravindranth on her phone, her son came on line and said that he had no information on the issue.
