The richest of them all seems to be Justice Altamas Kabir, who has declared assets worth 80lakh. The Chief Justice of India has declared assets worth just Rs 18lakh.

The judges have claimed that they have declared these assets on their own will and there is no public pressure on them. But one should comment here that the assets they have declared are not commensurate with people in their position.

A public servant who has been in service for more than 30 odd years just has assets worth in lakhs? Unbelievable in today’s world!
