Andhracafe.com- The Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has asked the Bombay Stock Exchange to launch a Marathi language portal. The MNS has written a letter to the Bombay Stock Exchange to develop a website in Marathi or be ready to face the consequences. MNS Colaba vibhag pramukh, Arvind Gawde, met Ashish Kumar Chauhan - Deputy Chief Executive officer and submitted a memorandum highlighting the party's demand.
SEBI has recently re-launched its website with options in English, Hindi and Gujarati, Gawde said.
"It has conveniently forgotten Marathi despite having its headquarters in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. The SEBI officials accepted their mistake and agreed to rectify it," he said. It has also asked the BSE to change its name to MSE (Mumbai Stock Exchange), stating that the party had objections to its current name.
