Andhracafe.com- When a building in the busy Narayanguda area collapsed on Friday, the whole of the state woke-up with a shock. Everyone though that just such a thing could only happen in a backward district of Bihar or Uttar Pradesh, but surely not in the heart of one of the more prosperous cities in India.
The tragedy has now injured more than 3 and it is believed that about 10 people are trapped inside the rubble. The blame game is already on. Some have blamed the contractors some others the quality of material being supplied. The blame is also on the GHMC officials who have sanctioned the construction of the building.
Whatever may the reason be, whatever the blame game be, can stronger laws ensure safety of buildings and people? The answer is a clear NO. We already have strong laws, we only are weak in implementation.
